Ursula Gately Clinical Engagement Advisor

Ursula Gately (she/her) is a medical student at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in the Global Health Leadership Track. She earned her undergraduate degree in Biology of Global Health from Georgetown University.

Before medical school, Ursula served as the Community Building and Engagement Coordinator at the Planetary Health Alliance. In 2022, she was recognized as one of the American Public Health Association’s Student Champions for Climate Justice. She has also worked as the Advocacy and Research Fellow for Virginia Clinicians for Climate Action, gaining experience in policy, research, and advocacy at the intersection of health and climate justice.

Ursula is driven by the question: How can medicine be modeled to serve communities and their environmental justice concerns? In her free time, she enjoys running, cooking, and caring for her 20+ plants.
